Finally Some Good News!
With all of the economic problems that our world is in the midst of there is a new website that represents the kind of spirit that our thinking needs to shift to in order to start changing things. The site is called TakeMeImFree.com
TakeMeImFree.com
is a community website where members, who can join for free, can post goods that they would like to donate to other members, and where they can browse for goods that they can take for free. It is a brand new national site that is in its early stages of gaining new members and inventory. The site earns its profits from showing ads of ethically and socially responsible organizations.
The main goal of TakeMeImFree.com is to encourage the reusing of items as an alternative to throwing them away or even recycling them which still requires expense and energy consumption. Another significant goal is to help out our fellow human beings who can use a break when it comes to spending money. This may never have been so needed since The Great Depression.
The site is comprised of three main category areas-Consumer, Commercial and Industrial.
For consumers, the site reduces a donator's need to dispose of unwanted items, sometimes saving them significant amounts of money in carting charges and/or labor costs. It also can eliminate the cost of paying for storage space as well as the need of having garage sales or running ads in newspapers.
For commercial and industrial users, the entity allows contractors to donate excess materials from a job site instead of having to warehouse or dispose of them at their expense. A good example of this might be a large electrical contractor who has excess cable left over from an installation. To a smaller shop, this waste might represent all of the materials needed for their project at no expense.
My hat is off to anyone who wants to really try to make this a better world.
